The SAU Hallman Scholarship continues to attract top science female recruits as the 2014 recipients include a 16-year-old engineering student from Phoenix, Ariz., and a pre-nursing major from Little Rock. The Hallman Scholarship is awarded through the SAU Foundation and provides $10,000 annually for a female student in the SAU
In a dramatic kickoff for an engineering fundraising campaign by Southern Arkansas University, Albemarle and the Albemarle Foundation have donated a total of $200,000 to create the SAU Albemarle Endowed Professor of Engineering. On May 27, 2014, representatives from SAU were given a check for $60,000 from Albemarle Foundation representatives

SAU has launched a campaign to ensure the renowned SAU Band program continues to grow and march proudly well into the future. The goal for the campaign is to raise $200,000 for an endowment to benefit the band. Once complete, the endowment will produce annual income for the continual updating
