Monroe Ingram (former faculty) was inducted into the University of Central Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame. Ingram led the Bears basketball team in scoring both 1958 and 1959 and was an All-AIC first-team selection both years. He went on to a distinguished coaching and teaching career at Southern Arkansas University and was one of the most respected coaches in the old Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference.
