Raise the roof: SAU Alumni Association hopes to raise funds for a pavilion

The SAU Alumni Association hopes to garner partners to help “Raise the Roof” on a new 2,720 square-foot pavilion on the lawn of the Welcome Center.

“We are extremely excited about this new project and even more excited to offer our Mulegating alumni more comfortable accommodations to enjoy during their Mulegating experience,” said Ceil Bridges, SAU alumni director.

The pavilion will benefit more than just those who Mulegate. It will be a perfect place to hold gatherings, reunions, and other activities, she said.

The covered, open air pavilion will be located near Legacy Lane. It will seat 250 people and will be complete with restrooms, a fireplace, serving kitchen, and television sets.

Bridges said that there are several opportunities for the Mulerider community to participate in the fundraising effort to help “Raise the Roof.”

  • Individual/couple investment – Society of your choice.
  • Corporate investment – Society of your choice.
  • Investment of any size – to help reach fundraising goal.
  • Group investment – Society of your choice.

If 50-200 members of your organization would commit to donating $50, your organization would be recognized as a Society Donor. Each Society will be recognized on a permanent donor wall within the facility.

Society Donor levels are as follows:

  • Gold Society – $10,000
  • Blue Society – $5,000
  • White Society – $2,500
